Hans van Walsem
Hans is an international tax lawyer who advises clients on Dutch and international tax issues, particularly multinational companies, investment funds and financial institutions. Hans has experience in international group restructurings, fund structuring, M&A, management incentive plans, joint ventures, partnerships, repatriation planning, financing and ruling negotiations.
Hans previously worked at Loyens & Loeff for 10 years. He did a three year assignment in New York, including at the U.S. law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
Hans is a regular contributor to the Dutch tax magazine NLFiscaal on Dutch and international tax topics, such as the Dutch dividend exit tax proposal, Dutch tax policy, tax treaty interpretation and hybrid mismatch rules.
Hans graduated from the University of Utrecht with a degree in Tax Law (with honors). Hans is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB).
